Attleboro Veterans History Project

\"\"Attleboro Access Cable Channel 15 commemorates the contributions of Attleboro Veterans in a series of special Memorial Day Weekend programs, highlighted by the Attleboro Veterans History Project. Memorial Day programming will be presented each evening Friday May 23 through Monday May 26 from 8pm to Midnight with repeat in the early morning and mid-afternoon as well.

The Attleboro Veterans History Project features interviews conducted over the past year by Attleboro Access Cable's Ed Stanton with nine World War II era veterans. Ranging from 12 minutes to 40 minutes, each segment captures the personal background and unique military experience of the individuals in their own words. Interviewed are Al Craven, Irene Davey, Herve Dumont, Raymond Gorman, Russ Marchand, Conrad Morel, Andy Nyzio, Carl Otto and Mickey Zito. The interviews are also available at www.doubleacs.com in the Video On Demand section.

The Channel 15 Memorial Day Weekend programming will also include vintage film footage of Attleboro servicemen leaving for duty in World War II and video of the 2007 Attleboro Memorial Day parade.

The 2008 Memorial Day Parade which takes place Monday in Attleboro will be taped and aired on Channel 15 beginning at 8pm Monday.
